What makes ProPectin® uniquely different?Firstly, apple pectin is most effective when consumed dissolved in a liquid. Currently there is no apple pectin available on the market that is soluble. Being soluble gives it high absorption, therefore the most effective in achieving the desired result. ProPectin’s patented 6 step process turns apple pectin into a highly soluble powder form, with the desired concentration, that gives it ultra high absorption and the only apple pectin on the market that can deliver a dose of 9 grams of apple pectin per day, to have the desired clinical effect. Powder apple pectins take 12 hours to dissolve in liquid, and thus have very low absorption. The final product is not exactly a liquid and more like clumps of apple pectin. This makes it unsuitable for direct consumer use. In these other powder apple pectin versions, they can only dissolve 0.5 grams in ˝ liter of liquid in 12 hours. This 0.5 grams of apple pectin cannot be consumed in enough quantity per day to have any clinical effect. The amount of liquid one would have to ingest would be unachievable. Another form of pectin is tablet form. Apple pectin in this form has diminished absorption within the body, which once again limits the clinical effect in the body. |

The worldwide production of apples exceeds 75 million tons. China and United States are the largest producer of apples in the world. There are more than 7,500 known cultivars of apples, resulting in a range of desired characteristics. Different cultivars are bred for various uses. In 2010, an Italian-led consortium had successfully decoded the complete genome of the apple. It had about 57,000 genes, the highest number of any plant genome studied to date and more genes than the human genome (about 30,000). This new understanding of the apple genome helped our scientists in identifying genes and gene variants that contribute to the highest quality apple, and other desirable characteristics. Understanding the genes behind these characteristics also allowed our scientists to perform selective sourcing of the ideal pharmaceutical grade apple pectin. A correct balance between macronutrients and micronutrients in the farm soil is essential to obtain the best results from apple crops. Each nutrient has an important effect on crop nutrition. Timing of harvest is also critical. Correct crop nutrition is essential. Calcium has a major role to play. Potassium and nitrogen improve the TSS content of fruit. Phosphorus increases the potential grade. Boron, Zinc and Manganese all actively encourages the potential grade of the crop. Our Medical Advisory Board, Scientists and R&D Team methodically and extensively searched the globe for the highest quality and purity apple source that would provide the extraordinary bioavailabilty and efficacy apple pectin within ProPectin®. Apple pectins derived from various sources in China, USA, India, Turkey, Italy, Poland, France and Brazil were sourced. Through extensive research, development, trials and testing, our team of scientists arrived at the one apple pectin source, from a specific region in Poland, which delivered extreme healing properties with the highest quality and efficacy in the world. It takes 250 kilograms of these select apples to extract 1 kilogram of pharmaceutical-grade apple pectin. Because ProPectin® only uses high-grade ingredients, the selection process is rigorous. As a result of this involved formulation process, with a high degree of esterification, and requires such large amounts of selective ingredients, ProPectin® is not an inexpensive product. Most cheap apple pectin products are only 8 to 12% pure, containing many other ingredients besides apple pectin. The amount of pectin your body is able to process from these products is too small to be effective. ProPectin® contains 100% of required doses of pure apple pectin needed to be effective in the body. |
